GCF IMC Joint Task Force

This Joint Task Force portal enables Meetings and Document sharing for both GCF and IMC members.

IMC members can apply for a JTF portal user account by completing the registration request on the IoT M2M Council website.

GCF Members may login with their existing username and password or register for a GCF portal user account.

GCF-IMC Joint Task Force on IoT Security

Security breaches – and regulations trying to address them – are growing exponentially. It is more difficult than ever to navigate the IoT cybersecurity landscape, both in terms of regional standards and vertical markets.

For this reason, the Global Certification Forum and the IoT M2M Council have formed a Joint Task Force to evaluate the development of a global certification program for the security of IoT deployments.

Several principles for this Joint Task Force have already been agreed:

The program will investigate ways to ensure that all layers of the IoT stack – device, network, cloud platform and application – are secure.
The program will make use of relevant, existing standards that are available in the public domain wherever appropriate.
The program will be more practical and prescriptive than many currently available standards.

Joint Task Force meetings will begin online in January and proceed throughout 2025. Technology providers, service providers, IoT adopters and other interested parties, are invited to join it.

All appropriate, interested parties are encouraged to join the JTF, while special consideration will be given to current GCF or IMC member companies.
